Arsene Wenger brought the game of football into the modern era when he moved from Japanese football to the UK. When he was young, he lived in a pub and this meant he could talk with a wide range of folk and this gave him a great insight into how different people worked. It was to be a great education in working with different people and leadership through psychology.
This is a feature that, when he first came to English football, made people stand up and look at what he was doing. The game in England was very old school in the way players prepared and he was a major influence in bringing this up to date with regards to nutrition and sports science. He managed to make a lot of players play for several years more than they would have otherwise done. A large factor in this was that his methods were more scientific and meant players were doing the right thing and not breaking their bodies.
A great manager who has proven over the years that football is a deep game with many different assets and he has shown others how they should be running their club although whether he was performing rhinoplasty surgery, teaching in cupcake classes or making thai curries or managing a football club he would be a big success.
